What to do before your detailer arrives

Maximize Your Detail: A Quick Prep Guide.

So you’ve booked a detail with Sparkling Car-Kings (great choice, by the way)—and you’re probably wondering:

“Do I need to do anything before they show up?”

The short answer is ~not much

The slightly longer answer is ~ a few quick things

Just like brushing your teeth before the dentist, helping us to help you gets the best results!

Remove personal belongings (for interior details)
Before we arrive, do a quick sweep through your car and remove:
- Personal items from the glove box, center console, cup holders, door pockets
- Stuff in the trunk or cargo area
- Child car seats (if possible—we get it, they’re annoying)
- Trash, receipts, bottles, toys, mail, gym bags, etc.
Why? While we can and will work around anything that you leave in the vehicle, removing these items helps us focus less on sorting out trash from treasure and more on the important part ~delivering you a sparkling clean finish!
Park where we can work
We’re fully mobile and come to you—but having space to move around your vehicle makes the job easier and safer.
Ideal setup:
- Permission from property owners to wash cars on location
- Driveway or open parking space
- Room to open all doors
- Shade is a bonus and sometimes required ( paint correction | ceramic coatings )
Tell us about any problem areas
If there’s something specific you want us to focus on—like a weird smell, sticky cupholder, spilled coffee in the back seat, or marks on the paint—let us know ahead of time. We can direct you to the best products and services to accommodate your needs.
